ACCU On Sea 2026 Trip Report

ACCU On Sea 2026 Trip Report

This is a write up of all the good and interesting stuff that I experienced at ACCU on Sea 2026.

The TL;DR of the following sections is (in no particular order of significance):

  1. ACCU on Sea was sold out! Seems that merging the two UK C++ conferences does indeed increase (double?) attendance.
  2. Everyone is working out what our industry looks like in an age of LLMs, and we all seem to be asking the same questions and trying similar experiments
  3. C++26 Reflection continues to look like it is going to change how we write a lot of code.
  4. My talk went down well, though I have a correction or two to make for next time.
  5. Safety is becoming more and more popular as a subject.
